However, even if you are a direct investor, hire a financial advisor that you trust who can guide with investments. <strong>Pay for your advice.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Summary<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"836\" height=\"223\" src=\"https:\/\/elementummoney.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/small-cap-funds-summary-oct2021.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2961\" srcset=\"https:\/\/elementummoney.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/small-cap-funds-summary-oct2021.jpg 836w, https:\/\/elementummoney.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/small-cap-funds-summary-oct2021-300x80.jpg 300w, https:\/\/elementummoney.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/small-cap-funds-summary-oct2021-768x205.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 836px) 100vw, 836px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Although SBI is the only fund in the category that has limited the allowed inflows, there are two funds with higher AUM \u2013 Nippon and HDFC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nifty Smallcap 100 TRI dropped with a -1.08{76b947d7ef5b3424fa3b69da76ad2c33c34408872c6cc7893e56cc055d3cd886} movement in October 2021 while Nifty Smallcap 250 TRI moved up slightly by 0.16{76b947d7ef5b3424fa3b69da76ad2c33c34408872c6cc7893e56cc055d3cd886}. Funds in this category use either of these two benchmarks. The biggest two, Nippon and HDFC did beat Nifty Smallcap 100 TRI but fell short of Nifty Smallcap 250 TRI. Rest of the funds comfortably beat both the benchmarks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The only movement in terms of AUM was Axis Small Cap moving ahead of Franklin India Smaller Companies Fund.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Among all these funds, Nippon is the only one to maintain a crazy number like 136 stocks!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Market Cap Allocation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"734\" height=\"103\" src=\"https:\/\/elementummoney.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/small-cap-funds-market-cap-oct2021.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2962\" srcset=\"https:\/\/elementummoney.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/small-cap-funds-market-cap-oct2021.jpg 734w, https:\/\/elementummoney.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/small-cap-funds-market-cap-oct2021-300x42.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 734px) 100vw, 734px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>SBI, DSP, L&amp;T and Axis are all in with no allocation to any Large Cap stocks.
